Spokane Pursuit - Information
Fees
There will be one entry fee for the entire weekend, though individuals may choose to race only one race. Fees are as follows: Youth (age 5-13), $20; Novice (age 13 and up), $20; Junior (age 14-19), $45 (racers must race in the junior division to qualify for the junior nationals); and senior/master (age 20 and up), $35 (or included in the Selkirk Nordic Series @ $60).
Divisions
Depending on number of registrants, multiple age groups/division races are likely to be run concurrently (e.g. J1-masters may, or may not, start at the same time and will race the same course). Race divisions and approximate distances (see course maps) and awards are as follows:
- J6, 2002 or later, 1 K, first through tenth
- J5, 2000-2001: same as J6
- J4, 1998-1999: 3 K, first through tenth
- J3, 1996-1997: 3 K, first through third
- J2, 1994-1995: 5 K, first through third
- J1, 1992-1993: Female - 10 K Sat/5 K Sun, first through third; Male - 10 K/10 K, first through third
- OJ, 1990-1991: same as J1
- Senior, 1980-1989: same as J1
- Master, 1960-1979: same as J1
- Master, 1959 or earlier: same as J1
- Novice/Recreation, 1990 and later: 5 K, first through third
- Novice/Recreation, 1989 and earlier: 5 K, first through third
Awards
There will be an awards banquet Saturday night at North Central High School, 1600 North Howard Street. Medals for the junior skiers will be awarded here. The registration fee for junior skiers includes a banquet ticket. All other attendees (parents, coaches, non-junior skiers) may purchase tickets online or at the hill for $10, or at the door for $12. Race t-shirts will be awarded to all junior skiers as part of the entry fee, and may also be available for purchase at the venue.
