Race Description and Information


Saturday, February 18 is a Classic Ski race. Sunday, February 19 is a Freestyle race. The distance each skier will race is dependent on his/her age group.  USSA Membership is required for ALL racers.  

Race Formats

Saturday, February 18: Classic Race, Mass Start
Sunday, February 19: Freestyle (skating) Individual Interval Start
Parking at the Selkirk Lodge: WA Snow Park Permit is required for parking for this weekend event 


Seniors/Masters Race Information

Masters Racers register for the race using WebScorer, and are required to be USSA members.

Cost is $80 for both days (if registered by Feb 3th) and the course will be a 10k Classic skin on Saturday and 10k Freestyle on Sunday.

All racers will receive hot food on both race days for lunch a technical race t-shirt if registered before Feb 3rd.


Awards/Race Scoring

1. Each day (Saturday: a classic race and Sunday: a freestyle race) awards will be given to the top three skiers in each category.
2. The Lollipop Race will be included in Sunday’s races. Children under 6 yrs old will have the chance to complete a race and collect a lollipop for participating.

Announcement of the PNSA Junior Nationals Team will occur after the awards have been given on Sunday.

Parking at the Selkirk Lodge: Snow Park Permit is required for parking for this weekend event.

Single Day Racers

U12 pay $20 for a single day of racing if they sign up before February 8th.  $25 for a single day after February 8, 2017.
All others pay $40 for a single day of racing if they sign up before February 8th.  $45 for a single day if they sign-up after February 8th.

Registration

1. Online registration is required for participants wishing to compete in the Junior National Qualifier.
2. For non-JNQ categories, online registration is strongly encouraged, but “Day of Race” registration will be available at the Selkirk Lodge for an additional fee. Lollipop Racers do not register until race time.

Food

Hot lunch will be provided for all racers wearing bib numbers on both Saturday and Sunday.  

U14 & Below Waxing Rule

No HF waxes for U14 and below


Awards

Prizes will be awarded at the venue, after all races are completed on Saturday and Sunday.
