After SNSA's annual Champions Dinner and Auction had to be canceled in 2020, skiers rallied to raise over $10,000 during SNSA's first-ever Ski-A-Thon last February. Due to the event's success (and another canceled Champion's dinner) SNSA has brought back the Ski-A-Thon and secured all-new prizes - including four "big-ticket" bonus prizes for whoever skis the furthest each week.

HOW IT WORKS
Sign Up on RallyUp
Reach out to family, friends and co-workers. Sponsors can commit a certain dollar amount per kilometer, or simply donate a flat amount.
From Jan 31-Feb 28, 2022, skiers will self-report their kilometers on RallyUp as they go. If you want to compete in the weekly "Top Distance" competitions, you'll need to submit proof of your efforts to email@example.com. More on that below.
As you rack up the kilometers and donations, you will earn prizes for reaching different milestones. The prizes compound, so you will win a new prize for each tier you reach!
At the end of February, a specialized gold jacket will be awarded to the skier that raises the most money for SNSA.

WE KNOW ASKING FOR SPONSORS CAN BE AWKWARD...
BUT IT SHOULDN'T BE!
BY PARTICIPATING IN THE SKI-A-THON, YOU ARE BASICALLY SERVING AS AN SNSA VOLUNTEER. EVERY DOLLAR YOU RAISE WILL GO DIRECTLY TOWARDS SNSA'S EFFORTS TO KEEP THE TRAILS IN GOOD CONDITION DURING THE OFF-SEASON, OFFER
SO DON'T LET "ASKING FOR MONEY" GET TO YOU! AS LONG AS YOU DON'T APPLY PRESSURE, FRIENDS AND FAMILY WILL ONLY ADMIRE YOUR EFFORTS, WHETHER THEY DECIDE TO CONTRIBUTE OR NOT!
IF YOU'RE STILL STRUGGLING TO KNOW HOW TO ASK, FEEL FREE TO USE ANY OF OUR SUGGESTED PHRASING:
This February, I will be participating in a cross-country "Ski-A-Thon" fundraiser to help raise funds for Spokane Nordic Ski Association.
I am currently looking for people to sponsor my efforts! You can contribute to my campaign per KM or with a flat amount by visiting: [Copy your campaign's url here]
The proceeds of the event will help SNSA, a 501c3 Spokane non-profit, continue providing maps, signs, trail maintenance, firewood, land lease costs, facility improvements, and grooming logistics in the Mt Spokane State Park Nordic Ski Area. They also host ski events and offer Nordic ski lessons to all ages and skill levels.
It's a great cause so I hope you'll support my campaign!
Your participation in our Ski-A-Thon helps to ensure that SNSA can continue doing what we do. The proceeds from this event will help us continue to create, develop, and deliver programs that foster a love of Nordic skiing and the great outdoors. We sincerely appreciate your support!
